What is Burnout
Burnout is a term that is used for physical, mental and emotional exhaustion. As the term suggests, it is when our energy levels have run out, and our bodies and mental health are no longer able to function at a healthy level. The term is most commonly associated with work, but can manifest in many areas of life for example; raising a family, being a full-time care taker, dealing with chronic pain or illness.
If you are working excessive hours, not taking enough time to sleep, eat or rest, if you feel under pressure or give more than is humanly possible to a particular task or role, at some point your mind and body will ‘stop’ and you will be dealing with burnout. Burnout is sometimes connected to a deeper internal belief of some kind, which in turn causes the individual to try and live up to impossible standards. For example, a belief that ‘without me things will fall apart, I am the only one who can do this task’ or ‘I have to do this in order to please others, to be accepted’.

At Recore, we understand that often the real work is needed at home. It is normal to feel calm and collected during meditation but easily angered by our own family. We can help you to address your upbringing and family life. Through deep exploration of the needs of the individuals and the family collective, you will learn new skills to help improve relationships. We offer intensive family therapy, group discussions and various workshops, helping each individual relearn how to listen and respond without judgement, opening up new avenues for communication.read more
