What is emotional crisis

An emotional crisis can appear in our lives for many different reasons. Also known as a ‘breakdown’ – which therapists often refer to as a breakthrough. It is likely that you have reached a point in your life where the underlying issue has to be addressed.

Reaching an emotional crisis point in life is sometimes described as hitting ‘rock bottom’ and often marks an important point whereby a person finally reaches a point of surrender and seeks support from professional. Reaching an emotional crisis is often the ‘turning point’; life can no longer continue the way it has previously, something new needs to be tried. An emotional crisis is often linked to what is known as an ‘existential crisis,’ whereby an individual loses meaning in their life, and what they ‘thought’ would make them fulfilled and happy, is simply not providing this any longer.

At Recore, we understand that often the real work is needed at home. It is normal to feel calm and collected during meditation but easily angered by our own family. We can help you to address your upbringing and family life. Through deep exploration of the needs of the individuals and the family collective, you will learn new skills to help improve relationships. We offer intensive family therapy, group discussions and various workshops, helping each individual relearn how to listen and respond without judgement, opening up new avenues for communication.
